The Finnish Defence Forces will acquire more used 155 mm K9 armoured howitzers from South Korea, the Ministry of Defence announced.

The Ministry of Defence and a representative of the South Korean government signed a procurement agreement today in Helsinki.

The procurement includes 112 used armoured howitzers, as well as their spare parts and maintenance systems. The total value of the procurement is EUR 546.8 million.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the armoured howitzers will improve the firepower of the ground forces and the ability to support operational forces.
