Hi,
Are US Recon units the most versatile combat units in the US army and in general?
This is a very good Youtube video about the important role of Recon units to guide Armoured US vehicles in combat;
Also: is there such a thinhg as a "universal soldier" in the US army? Meaning soldiers who can improvise and operate any allied or enemy vehicle or weapon using their skills and intelligence and knowledge to gain the upper hand? Imagine that the squad unit main weapons and vechicles get disabled. Then would the infantry be able to improvise and capture enemy vehicles and use them??
Are US soldiers trained in operating enemy technologies on the battlefield?
Do US Recon units use "IFF" -like recon signals, similar to aviation IFF signals, to differentiate between friend and foe on the battlefield?
