Intro Update re Nicholson Monument at Leek, Staffs

There is a previous post on this site re the following:
''PERKIN Arthur (Burnt record) Private 805435, 2nd North Midland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, of 28, Ball Haye Green, Leek, Husband of Henrietta nee Moss of Leek whom he married 19th June 1917. He was stationed at No1 North Camp Ripon, Yorkshire. On the 23rd November 1917 whilst doing Riding Drill he fell off his horse when jumping over a three foot high jump, sustaining a fractured right arm. He was Demob 4th July 1919 address given 7. Waterloo Street, Leek. On the 12th February 1919 he requested his Military Medal which he received in France. He previously served as Gunner 340, 3rd Stafford Battalion, Royal Field Artillery, enlisting 1st April 1908 aged 19, for four years and his occupation was a Picker at a Silk Mill. He re-engaged 29th February 1912. Another address given was in 1919, 12 Talbot Street, Leek. No record has been found of his death.''

He isn't a relative of mine but I was doing some research on his brothers, Albert & William (also served in the RFA) & I discovered that Bombadier Arthur PERKIN b. 1888 Leek, Staffordshire - actually moved away from Staffs altogether to Yorkshire & remarries an Elsie FRITH 1898-1962 in Wakefield, Yorks in 1940. He dies there in Jan 1978. (In total, including Elsie, he was married x3, His first two wives died in Leek, Staffs).

I was hoping this may be of help re the original post re the Nicholson Monument at Leek.
