« Nuremberg » will be in the cinemas soon. Starring amongst others Russel Crowe as Herman Goering; at least weight wise he’ll be fitting.
I can’t tell you much about the movie, might go see it or find a different way, nothing in the article from the BBC is groundbreaking history speaking if you’re educated, beside I did learn something: the Allies wanted most of the tried dignitaries at Nuremberg summarily shot, which sounds a bit too Ceaucescu to my taste. The war needed to be documented, the crimes particularly.

If you see black US troops guarding prisoners on trial in this movie this is historically accurate. Black troops weren't used exclusively, but if I recall correctly there were multiple rotations.
Remember, before '48 most US Army units were segregated.

I fully expect you guys will take the piss out of me for that comment, but I'm kind of growing bored with WW2 movies.
After the success of 'Jadotville', I was kind of hoping we'd see more war movies about "forgotten" conflicts. Hell, I might even splash a fortune on a cinema ticket to watch a movie about the Falklands War, for example.
