Special Operations Capabilities Specialists assigned to 3rd Marine Raider Support Battalion, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, conduct frontal assault training on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Jan 28, 2020. The frontal assault training consisted of buddy-rushing drills that advance to squad-sized maneuver-and-fire drills, where squad leaders were required to coordinate the movement of their squad, while supported by, stationary, crew-served machine guns. Upon assignment to MARSOC, these SOCS received advanced technical and tactical training to be effective and proficient components in special operations.
