impressive at all....
@DENO I Thought the forces deployed to Syria use the newer MPT 76, are tthe units mixed with them and older G3 models?
and what about the new camo? It has not been so long the new standard camo came up, so they are planning to use new camo again ( type of CCe French and Woodland?)

Please check my massages on the preious page. I have already given a detailed explanation on the new standard issue camo.

And the troopers seen with G3s are regular infantry mixed among the border troopers and commandos. You can realize they are also using regular issue assault vest while the other ones are using new type MOLLE plate carriers or relatively new equipment vests that was using for a while. And also none of the soldiers are armed with MPT76 in the photo. The new rifles you see the MPT-55, 5.56mm variant of the MPT-76 rifle. Currently the Commando Brigades are being equipped with it rather than MPT-76. And if you read the post clearly they are being send to Turkey-Syria borderline as military fortification. If so mostly commandos are deploying to Syria and the rest are mostly used in support and logistics roles...

^^It seems that they even removed scopes of the designated marksman rifles like the other ones else to avoid harming or wetting the valuable equipment during training...

This one was taken from Keçilik Naval base in 2001. I have shared this photoset on a different topic which you can find more info .

This one is even not a military member. The bolt-action rifle which purchased from the civilian marketunder the designation of "hunting rifle" and looks like the sporting version of Accuracy L96 series. SAS uses MKEK JNG-90 in that category but not these. Also Navy is using MultiCam combat suits made by Tru-Spec or BLACKHAWK! but not these + the helmet is not original ops-core unlike the ones used by SAS and most probably is purchased from China. And also I reminded that image. It's taken from the advertisement shots of Turkish military boots maker called "Vaneda".

Hocam bundan emin misiniz? Bu fotoğrafı çok güvendiğim bir yerden aldım, sahte olma ihtimali çok düşük. (İngilizcem iyi olmadığı için Türkçe cevap veriyorum)

Lots of Soviet equipment.

the same thing I was going to say, what is strange to me is that Turkey had a very good relationship with Germany, where did they leave then with so much Russian equipment? would it be during / after the second war?

relationship with Germany, where did they leave then with so much Russian equipment? would it be during / after the second war?

After the WWI and Ottoman defeat with the threaty of Sevres officially signed in 1920 Ottoman lands were invaded by British, Italian, French and Greek forces as victors of the WWI. In line with the invasions and Ottoman Sutan's cooperation with the Allied Forces some patriotic officers of the Ottoman army organized a regular army called "Kuvay-ı Milliye" and fought against occupation forces untill the liberation of Turkey and restoration of the Republic in 1923. During that time the only legitmate supporter of the Turkey was Soviet Union bcs our dudes convinced Lenin that Turkey will become a Communist country if they support Kuvay-ı Milliye forces in their campaign against Allied occupation. So this was the source of the Soviet equipment that supplied to Turkey during the inter-war period.

After from that and during the WWII period Turkey as an active neutral country was threatened by both Soviet and Nazis untill the Nazi occupation of Soviet Uniton with the Operation Barbarossa and from that onwards supplied Nazis with coal, copper, ıron, steel and chrome in return of modern weapons such as U-Boats, He.100 bombers, Fw.190 fighters, StuG-III tank hunters and Pz-III/IV tanks (a Turkish military delegate even tested Tiger I during the Battle of Kursk) Interestingly from the same time onwards Turkey has also in a deep relationship with Britain bcs Britishs wanted to convince us join the war in allied side (Churchill himself even visited Turkey twice during the war) and we also supplied planes like Spitfire and Hurricane fighters and Mosqito bombers from the same time with Nazis. So this made Turkey as the sole contry whşch operated both Axis and Allied planes in the same squadrons at the same time during the war. After the WWII Soviet expansion becama threat for Turkey and Stalin was claimed some lands in north-eastern Turkey as a part of the Soviet Union so our guys automatically joined the NATO to protect the territorial integrity of Turkey.
