Sleep soldier sleep your memory I will forever keep.

An angel with wings of silver and gold has a story to unfold
see those soldiers young and bold
they have come home for them I write this poem,
across the sea they fly,as family cry,
come home son,lay down your gun
hold your head up high and look towards the sky
fly like an angel with wings of silver and gold and never grow old.

Open heavens door and hear the angels sing
a new life they will bring, a gift that comes from within
they heal all wounds of today and tomorrow
and help us through our sorrow
so the soldiers march on
for they are the angels that have gone
