A glint of kindness in the middle of war and misery. I feel the same about it. Who knows what the Japanese troops (being too the victims of their own propaganda machinery) told the mother about the Americans, that they would kami knows what do to her and to her child. On the other hand, one cannot deny the bravery of the medics... and of the mother too, consequently, since she had to overcome all fears and let the medic – the enemy take care of her child.
