A war hero's medal which was stolen 17 years ago is to be returned
to his family after it was discovered on a beach in Australia.
Anthony Tollemache's family had given up hope of tracing the George
Cross after it was stolen at his widow's Cambridgeshire home in 1988.
It was presented to the RAF Flying Officer for trying to pull another airman
from his blazing aircraft.
The medal was found at Maroochydore beach, near Brisbane, Queensland.
