86 years ago the Invasion of Poland began So I decided to build a model of a vehicle from the time of the invasion of Poland. My choice is this kit. I have always wanted to build this and add to my "collection" of vehicle models from that period. It is a long-term task, it includes vehicles of the German, Polish, Soviet and Slovak armies. Enough for a lifetime of collecting.

I have the same modell in my stash, i will watch over your shoulders if it has any flaws... ;-)

Looking at the photos now, the antenna parts seem very delicate. I hope they can be removed from the frame without breaking...

Thank you PegAsus. So I started building the model, I don't follow the instructions strictly, sometimes my shaking hand with the glue goes awry, but in the end it turns out "well".

A favorite vehicle of mine, too, from when I built the Matchbox iteration as an kid; I'll follow as well, if you don't mind. From memory, there are no real issues with the kit, despite it's age. There are some minor detail sets available, an interior version, and resin wheels, if you're interested.

Sorry to hijack your thread but, now that I see the vehicle partially assembled here, a question arises once again that no one has been able to answer satisfactorily so far to me: Almost all lighter armoured German vehicles already had sloped armour, so why was this completely ignored in tank design? It was only with the Panther and later modells that this was also applied to tanks... It must have been known that sloped armour was advantageous, so why was it ignored in tanks?

And what also strikes me about this vehicle is that with the shape of the bodywork, the shape of the bodywork for the 8-wheel vehicles, has already been specified, only that it has been placed inverted on the frame and one more axle has been added (to put it simply).

Yes, slanted armor plates have better ballistic resistance, so they are more advantageous from the user's point of view. From the production point of view, perpendicular plates are more advantageous. The Germans have perfected the assembly of perpendicular plates.

It wasn't the best wheeled vehicle in the German fleet, but it was one with a unique, distinctive shape.

Found these images of a Tony Greenland build, you'll note the minimum correction of the hull and turret, and the addition of aftermarket parts. May be too late to use in your build, but good references images.

I wanted to build the model straight out of the box, without any add-ons, although I will make some minor additions.

An unpleasant thing happened to me, my model fell to the ground, I managed to find most of the parts and glue them back together. Some I will have to reconstruct and not order as accessories.

I managed to solve the problem with the photo storage, so I can add pictures here. The repair of the model is slowly continuing, I had to buy some parts. Fortunately, I manage to repair the model quite well.
