The Russian army will receive new anti-tank mines.

The Russian military receives special anti-tank mines PTKM-1R that allow them to hit the turret of armored vehicles

"At present, the serial production of such mines has been launched, supplies are being carried out in the interests of the RF Ministry of Defense," the agency's interlocutor said.

"Thanks to sensitive electronic sensors and smart stuffing, it is able to independently track down an enemy tank and hit it with a special fired submunition from the least protected side - from above,"

"When the target is in the affected area, the mine shoots up a charge, which takes off above the combat vehicle and penetrates its upper armor with a cumulative shock core. This happens so lightning fast that the active defense sensors oriented towards the side attack do not have time to react."
