North Korean female workers are being sent to Russia primarily as state-controlled low-cost labor to fill workforce shortages in civilian industries.
They are employed on assembly lines, in garment factories, kitchens, and on farms, with promised wages starting around 480 rubles (about $6) per hour.
Human rights reports and related coverage indicate the DPRK tightly manages these workers—confiscating documents, restricting movement and communication, and withholding a large share of earnings—which turns the arrangement into a source of foreign currency for the North Korean regime while helping address Russia’s labor gaps.

You have a point there, yet the usual russkie apologists will tell you that foreign volunteers and Latin America makes a good chunk of those these days also fight on Ukraine side. They might as well add that NATO countries equipment is being sent to Ukraine and has been for four years now.

Ukrainian drone operators have reported that the Russian army has begun using the "Arena-M" active protection system on tanks in combat in Ukraine. While footage of the system had been published previously, there had been no confirmation of its operational performance. According to the drone operators, a Russian T-72B3A tank equipped with the "Arena" system destroyed seven Ukrainian FPV drones. Due to the tank being fitted with both "Mangal" armor and the "Arena-M" active protection system, it took approximately 15 FPV drones to successfully destroy a single tank. It can now be stated that, unlike the Israeli "Trophy" protection system, the Russian "Arena-M" active protection system is functional and has been combat-proven.
The crew of a Ukrainian Humvee released footage showing a strike by a Russian FPV drone. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in the attack. The Humvee was equipped with improvised "barbecue-grill" armor, which saved the crew. The location of the incident was not disclosed.

They don't want someone else to prove how they've been scamming the tax payer for decades on overpriced kit produced at a snail's pace.
Basic workshops under bombardment in the second world out producing your pristine high tech factories wouldn't be a good look.

That's pretty much how the US military industrial complex works. Well, not only the US MIC obviously, but they have a reputation to over-complicate things.
Which, additionally, is stimulated by the Defense Department and the Pentagon being unable to conduct a proper audit. We don't know how much we have, we don't know how we spend, we don't really know how much we need, we just know whatever you gave us last year we need much more next year. Let's say... double the amount just to be safe.
Missile production is still going, and even higher than expected.
Some systems have been binned, some others are turning into grand-favorites.
As for the RM48U... I must say I am rather curious as to how it works. It is said to have quasi-ballistic flight capabilities, ok that's conceivable, but what is its guiding system?
Also the Vikhr is getting an APKWS variant (proximity fuse and semi-active laser homing) to deal with UAV and UAS.
