If I'm not mistaken, both Zelensky and Putin will be in a room together in Turkey in about 72 hours.
We'll see about that. And even if they meet, which is highly unlikely, what lasting peace could possibly arise from negotiations where Ukraine is forced into a position of weakness? Why does Trump insist on suggesting Ukraine doesn't want peace? Why does he keep insisting that the attacked party ought to make concessions to the aggressor?
So who cares what Trump pledged to European leaders last week. He quickly came to the realization that Europe’s plan is an impediment to peace.
1. If that is so, how come he didn't realise this the second it was proposed to him?

2. "Impediment to peace"? Bo*****S. Every "peace" that makes undue concessions to Russia is an open invitation to further Russian aggression. The Europeans have realised this. Mr. "I'm gonna end the war in 24 hours" has not realised this.

Are you saying that the meeting won't happen? That would be a huge faux pa to whichever party doesn't show. Also, I just read that Zelensky would like Trump to be there as well. No idea if he will. Funny he didn't ask any European leaders to join.

Successfully achieved his pre-war goal of decreasing NATO presence on his border by adding another 1335km of border to overstretch his already overstretched forces even further.

What a master strategist! Russ:-

I think we should just sit back and see what happens. So far no-one has said NO to Donald. Some mumble and roll their eyes, some make a deal. I’m intrigued to see what happens. If I was in that room, I would not look to be the first person to walk out.

And the Biden and European inc U.K. policy was to use ukr to bleed Russia out. Morally that is terrible.

Therein lies the political differences between the 2 mediators (US, Europe).

The US (Trump) wants peace, period, and is willing to work with both Ukraine and Russia, as is, to achieve it.
On the contrary, Europe will not put forward any deal or proposal that is deemed unfavorable to Ukraine. Doing as such is Russian appeasement.… so might as well keep the killing going. Using Ukraine as a means to bleed Russia was the initial plan anyways.

Again? Waiting in yet another meeting like all the others for Russia to continue its game? Sorry but that's making everyone look like idiots.

Yes, and I hope they really don't accept any concessions from Russia. Why would anyone give up part of their country to an aggressor? So that they can attack again in the future? Would you think it's fair if this was you neighbor Country? I think everyone knows how this game is played by Russia.

Footage of an attack by a Russian Molniya-2 UAV equipped with a TM-62M anti-tank mine. Molniya-2 drones with an enhanced warhead were used to attack Ukrainian temporary deployment points in the area of the village of Bogatyr in the South Donetsk direction.
