We'll see about that. And even if they meet, which is highly unlikely, what lasting peace could possibly arise from negotiations where Ukraine is forced into a position of weakness? Why does Trump insist on suggesting Ukraine doesn't want peace? Why does he keep insisting that the attacked party ought to make concessions to the aggressor?

I think we should just sit back and see what happens. So far no-one has said NO to Donald. Some mumble and roll their eyes, some make a deal. I’m intrigued to see what happens. If I was in that room, I would not look to be the first person to walk out.

And the Biden and European inc U.K. policy was to use ukr to bleed Russia out. Morally that is terrible.

Therein lies the political differences between the 2 mediators (US, Europe).

The US (Trump) wants peace, period, and is willing to work with both Ukraine and Russia, as is, to achieve it.
On the contrary, Europe will not put forward any deal or proposal that is deemed unfavorable to Ukraine. Doing as such is Russian appeasement.… so might as well keep the killing going. Using Ukraine as a means to bleed Russia was the initial plan anyways.
