On March 5, a delegation from Romania visited the Bell plant in Amarillo, Texas, USA. Romania is the first customer of Bell from outside the USA who, as part of the Foreign Military Sales program, officially inquired about the price and availability of AH-1Z "Viper" and UH-1Y "Venom" multi-task helicopters. In addition, as part of the visit, representatives of the Romanian government obtained information on the performance and combat capabilities of the above-mentioned rotorcraft.
After the visit to Amarillo, Romanians went to Camp Pendleton to take part in the AH-1Z and UH-1Y test flights, carried out by Marine Aircraft Group 39. Commitment to the US Marine Corps is the first step to establishing relations in cooperation with the Romanian government in the area of obtaining helicopters from the American side. In addition, test flights are crucial for the assessment conducted by the Government of Romania and for subsequent decisions
The Romanian armed forces are modernizing their equipment and want to achieve maximum interoperability with the US military. One of the measures taken to this end were the purchase of F-16 fighter planes and Patriot air defense kits
As you can see from the above example, as well as photos from
