On June 17, 2025, the first AH-64Ds arrived at the 56th Air Base, a unit with the longest helicopter tradition in the Polish Army. It is on the AH-64D that Polish pilots and technicians will hone the skills they acquired during training in the United States. Today's ceremony is the result of an agreement signed on February 27 this year with the United States government, under which the Polish Armed Forces are leasing eight AH-64D Apache helicopters as a bridging solution until the new AH-64E helicopters ordered by Poland are delivered.
