Post WW2 cleanup of weapons and armament:
Stacks of what appear to be German rifles after the war.
Immense pile of mines
The caption for this mentioned "4000 Japanese blades". No doubt some are quite valuable.
This is German gear piled up in Italy after the war.
Captured Italian gear piled up in Sicily. And wouldn't I like to rummage through those Carcanos!
Piles of "Scrap metal"
The following images don't fit in with WW2, but may still be of interest.
Fairly recent image of confiscated weapons being crushed. I'd sure like to sort through these, too!
Piles of artillery casings left from Somme barrages.
Pile of Argentine rifles in the Falklands - looks like mostly FALs.
Mostly SKS in this one. I'm not sure when or where it was taken.
