Video On why there is 100plus Ww2 planes at the bttm of Lake Michigan

I watched that a couple of weeks ago. Worth a watch. I've seen the Wildcat at O'Hare and the Dauntless at Midway, both restored for display. I hope they can salvage a few more before the Zebra Muscles destroy them.

I should add, why the significance of these two airplanes?

The Dauntless was one of the planes which won the battle of Midway. Midway Airport was named after the battle.

The Wildcat is a recreation of Butch O'Hare's plane, O'Hare Field was posthumously named after O'Hare.
