Found this site while doing a google search for the lyrics to 'Hey Blue' - a song that is mentioned in Major John L. Plasters books. Although I never had the pleasure or opportunity to serve in the military, - I can assure you that I have the deepest love and respect for the men and women who have, - and every day, I take the time to THANK GOD, - that men and women such as these have lived. I served 31 years & 59 days as a firefighter, retiring in 2007, and my last twenty years were as a Captain on an Aerial Tower, -- so I do have some idea of working with people who put themselves in harms way for their fellow man. I graduated high school in 1965, height of the Viet Nam experience, and lost my very best childhood friend there, along with two other high school classmates. They were all 3, men of integrity, who would, and should have grown to be leaders, and movers and shakers of society. God Bless America, and God Bless President Trump. I will be here on occasions, just learning and studying at the feet of the Masters.

Here you have a second firefighter. Where did you work (if you feel comfortable telling that)?

I served also as a volunteer firefighter for 5 years, before I took the test to join nearby Rome city department. Best life decision that I ever made.
