The Argentine aircraft carrier ARA Independencia (V-1) with five NA SNJ-5C aircraft, the naval version of the classic Texan, on board. The Independencia had been built as HMS Warrior (R31), a light aircraft carrier of the prolific Colossus class. Completed in 1945, it was loaned to the Canadian Navy as HMCS Warrior between 1946 and 1948, before being returned to the Royal Navy. In 1956/57, it underwent a modernization with a 4-degree sloped flight deck and was sold to the Argentine Navy in 1959.

It was the Argentine Navy's first aircraft carrier until 1968, when another carrier, the ARA 25 de Mayo, was purchased from the Netherlands. The ARA 25 de Mayo entered service in 1969, and the Independencia was placed in reserve. In 1970, it was decommissioned and sold for scrap, being dismantled in 1971.
