While looking for a pic I took Easter morning, 1969 in Viet Nam, I found these on the same flash drive. Couldn't find the one I meant to post - probably deleted it. I know people say stuff like that should be saved, but some of it I just can't look at anymore.

In any case, I did find these assorted pics I saved several years ago that might be of interest. The submarines are in Russia, 1908 as well as I recall.

Italian tankettes - I'm not sure if this is in Italy.

More Italian tankettes. In Ethiopia, a column of 9 of these was destroyed by natives dropping big rocks on them.

Surviving T-18 Soviet MC-1 Light Tank

When the German Army invaded Russia in 1941 during Operation Barbarossa the Red Army rushed to put every armoured vehicle they possessed into the front line to meet this dangerous threat. This included dragging out of retirement the obsolete T-18 light tanks from tank training schools or depots.

Regarding the police gear shown above when I was on a city police dept. in the early 70s, we still carried lead-filled saps. Uniform trousers even had side leg pockets for them. It was a different world them. The old guys would say, "You should have seen it 20 years ago!"

All I ever did with mine was put it in the mouth of a fellow having seizures so he wouldn't bite his own tongue off.

German hand grenades aren't primed by pulling the ring, but by unscrewing the cap and pulling a cord that comes out. The ring is fixed to the top of the grenade through a loop.

It's a Soviet Polikarpov R-5 Kasseta. Because who else would be insane enough to come up with this kind of idea
