Gotta say, rarely seen or don't realy know of many other special law enforcement units that take physical training this seriously.

Not surprising considiring fact that if military conflict brakes out they will be on front line like any combat unit of Ministry Of Defence

That was true for the 2008 war in particular. They were the first units to engage Russian forces that were moving into Tskhinvali. I've spoken to someone who was in such a unit during the war.

They would indeed be the first as even today they are controling the checkpoints right next to the Russians/separatist ones.

Strategic Pipeline (not to be confused with SODD) Defence Department, their main mission is protecting Tbilisi-Baku-Ceyhan pipepline and other strategic pipelines which are very important sector of Georgian economy
