Operation: Berlin. Take off 16.48hrs from Oakington.

(Jun 14, 1946) "...On the files of Polizeimeister Rehberg the following attached report was found (Un-translated).

Translated extracts from his statements as follows: At 19.10 on 22/11/1943 (German time) a large number of aircraft flew over Rinteln toward the East, one turned back, flew very low over the town and crashed into a meadow belonging to herr Nagel of Hessendorf, the full bomb-load must still have been on board, as the aircraft exploded leaving a crater 30 yeards wide and 20 feet deep.

(Jun,19, 1947) "...investigation made at the scene of crash and interrogation of local authoriies, states that the aircraft crashed near Rinteln on the 23/11/1943, presumably 30 miles SW of Hannover, Germany."
