Try starting here
http://web.archive.org/web/20150107...taryphotos.net:80/forums/showthread.php?58508

From that starting point I went through the first 4 pages without issue, I stopped then so there will be more pages than that , Have fun buddy

Ahhhh cool! Thanks mate! I vividly remember some of the photos posted here. Looking at them again reminds me of my time back at eBay when I was scrolling through it in-between calls :p

That shot looks like it was taken at the Armoured Corps Museum at Latrun. Had the honour of being there back in 2013. Needless to say, I was giddy with excitement. 30 Shekels well spent!

Cool info, shame the beautiful girl was in the way of that fantastic tank though mil-smile07

The Israel Police is not part of the IDF but I'll post these series of photos here anyway.

Some of you might remember this famous incident from last December whereby the world's media captured footage of the Israel Border Police's YAMAS undercover operation against a group of protesters. 2 years ago I bought a book titled "The Ghost Warriors" written by Samuel M. Katz about this unit's history and their various operations. It is a very insightful read and I'd say a very good book and the author did very well to highlight the contributions of Israel's law enforcement units in the fight against terrorism. There are countless literature written about the IDF and Israeli intelligence but none (at least in English or that I am aware of) of the Israel Police. Hoping that someone would write a book about the YAMAM soon.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with him. It's still the source of a great conundrum to me why such developed and relatively rich country like Israel can't outfit (doesn't want to spend money on?) its troops and operatives in terms of personal equipment on the level of the US regular troops to say nothing of Special Forces.

I sometimes wonder about that too. At least they are slowly upgrading their personal equipment now. Question is how long before the rest of the combat units follow suit.

I think the IDF are one of the most uniformaly well equipped armies in the world. The only thing they should speed up is Tavors if they are serious about it.
One thing I've learnt about SF is that you can't force them to carry what you like them to. They usualy wear whatever suits them for combat and isn't distracting but practical.
What highlighted that for me is when I asked a certain manufacturer to why they are not distributing their newest "opscore" type helmets to cetain forces, they simply said there was no request or demand, even though the price tag is relatively discount for very high level of protection. Those guys just use what they feel good with. This may not apply to all such units, especialy when you look at the prices ( an Eotech GPNVG for example costs around $40k a piece - its often also about what you can afford ), but the main reason most likely is that they feel perfectly fine with what they have. I can't think of any other reason. Maybe regulations ?
acquiring such items is realy not a problem. The US alone produce tons of such equipment on a daily basis to be able to supply other nations as well.

F-35I Adira took part in attacks on elements of the Syrian air defense system. It was a retaliatory action for shooting down another Israeli airplane - F16I Sufa. Of course, the Israeli Defense Ministry and the headquarters of Hejl HaAvir did not officially confirm this information. The commander-in-chief of the Israeli army, general div. Amikam Norkin ordered that all F-35I activities be covered as strictly as possible.
Currently, the air forces of Israel have 9 F-35I, part of the 140th golden Eagle eagle squadron, stationed in the Nevatim base in the Negev desert. Combat readiness of 5 of them was reported in December 2017. The last of the 50 F-35I ordered by Hejl HaAvir are to reach Israel by the end of 2024.
One of the tasks for which the F-35I are intended is to give the command a three-dimensional image of the battle space, and then to overpower the enemy's air defense and communication networks. Subsequently, Adira is to detect and target targets to be dealt with by other combat aircraft Hejl HaAvir (F-15 and F-16).
