No kim chi for me thanks. That photo of the GI on the video shows a cap that hasn't been issued for over 60 years. If he ate cabbage for that 60 years I would say he is thin and dead at the same time. ;0)

I knew a kid who made very bad decisions and spent time in Leavenworth before getting off on parole for good behavior to finish out his last six months of service with his last unit. Barred from handling weapons or even being issued one, promotions, awards, leave, and passes.
He was sent to our platoon and did an honest day's work and was treated no differently. He told us just how horrible it was at the time and not what we were being told.
^^ this is what our deserters should be getting. All of them regardless of age.
I honestly DGAF if any of them are still alive or is pain free in Korea. F 'em.
