iirc, one of the early claims, back in 2025 I think, were even by the IRGC and repeated by the NYT.
Not that it is much of a surprise to have the NYT peddling whatever the IRGC says.

Boots on the ground have been a recurring topic since the war started.
I remember the thread being full of of the usual claims that Trump was sending boots on the ground, how this will turn into another Iraq and maps prophesying how the amphibious assault will take place (and how Iran will kill every single US military).
Air strikes and bombing will perhaps resume, but no boots will be deployed.

Trump says they're going to hit Iran tonight, oil has shot up, and he says they're talking to Iran.

It isn't that big of a price to pay, considering the many times the US (and the West in general) have let them down. And now Iranians are the ones paying for it.

Strategically this is a farce. Trump clearly believed dropping some warheads on foreheads would make the regime crumble. It hasn't, and won't. So now he looks weak and keeps extending the deadline. Get in and do it cus this prevarication is ridiculous.
