On a sidenote: you never really heard Oman mentioned in discussions about regional security, like they were an afterthought. I don't think anyone outside of local desk CIA officers realized just how deep Iran's infiltration if the Omani state ran.
Didn't save them from get shot at of course, just like shiite-dominated Iraq, because common sense is for infidels

If this is true the reaction of the army will be interesting.
Either it saves the army leaderships or it signs literally every regime member's death sentence. Those that are left standing after the internal bloodbath will be (J)DAMned.
