On 29 Jun 2026, the National Security Guard conducted Joint Mock Drill Ex SANJY SURAKSHA at Raghunath Temple, Jammu, strengthening operational preparedness for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

NSG conducted a Joint Mock Drill under Ex SANJY SURAKSHA on 23 Jun 2026 at Base Camp, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, in preparation for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

Under MHA's Duty to Share mandate, NSG conducted a specialised training capsule for personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG), Jammu & Kashmir Police, aimed at enhancing counter-terrorism capabilities, operational readiness and inter-agency interoperability under Ex Shakti Sangam.

Today, NSG and Mira-Bhayandar Police jointly neutralised an unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the Mira-Bhayandar area. Recently trained by NSG under its Capacity Building Initiative on IED & explosive awareness, local police correctly identified the threat and promptly sought NSG assistance for safe disposal.

Two IAF MCC C17s took-off today for Venezuela with urgent assistance to support their post-earthquake relief efforts. The assistance contains an Indian Army Field Hospital Unit and over 35 tons of relief supplies, medicines and medical equipment, including two BHISHM Cubes.

The 41 member team of Indian Army, from the 60 Para Field Hospital, including 9 medical officers, departed today from India aboard 2 Indian Air Force, IAF aircraft. Equipped to provide emergency medical care, trauma management, surgery and critical care, the contingent is carrying nearly 6 tonnes of medical stores and humanitarian aid, including the indigenously developed BHISHM Cube under India's Aarogya Maitri Project.

Marine Commandos (MARCOS)

MV Golden Arsenal, a St. Vincent and the Grenadines-flagged bulk carrier, en route from Aden, Yemen, with 21 crew members, including one Indian national, reported an attempted pirate attack approximately 300 nautical miles east-northeast of Djibouti on the afternoon of 01 Jul 26. Mission deployed INS Trikand, a stealth frigate of the Indian Navy operating in the Gulf of Aden, responded swiftly to the reported piracy attempt and arrived in the vicinity of the vessel early on 02 Jul 26. The Master of MV Golden Arsenal confirmed the safety of all crew members despite damage to the bridge superstructure and adjoining compartments. Specialist teams from INS Trikand boarded the vessel and carried out sanitisation operation. No suspicious personnel were found onboard. Subsequently, the Indian Navy team safely moved the crew from the citadel and assisted in restoring the vessel to operational readiness for the continuation of her voyage. Indian Navy P8I also undertook aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of the operation. With anti-piracy operations concluded and the vessel rendered safe for further transit, MV Golden Arsenal has resumed her voyage.

During Operation Amistad in earthquake-hit Venezuela, the Shatrujeet Brigade Communication Task Force deployed advanced technologies to establish and sustain a field hospital in a challenging disaster environment.

Indian Army formation under Spear Corps, in close coordination with the Indian Air Force, conducted a high-octane Joint Heliborne exercise, Ex-Gaganprahar at Jorhat and Sivasagar, Assam. The exercise featured elite teams from Indian Army and Indian Air Force executing day/night slithering, rooftop insertions and helocasting by combat divers in Sivasagar Lake, reinforcing precision strike capability and seamless joint-service synergy. Backed by Indian Air Force helicopters, the exercise also witnessed the deployment and day/night slithering of newly inducted Assault and Tracker Dogs.
