Since there's now actual gunfire involved I thought I'd move this to a seperate thread.

A terrorist attack in Kashmir on Tuesday which claimed the lives of 26 Indian tourists and which has been claimed by Pakistani jihadists has led to tensions between the two countries. India has closed the main points of entry, called on all of it's citizens to leave Pakistan , has nullified the visa of every Pakistani in India and has suspended the Indus water treaty. Pakistan has suspended all trade with India and banned all flights from India, saying they are "ready to defend themselves".

Threatening nuclear weapons, leaders are children. Putin being the biggest crybaby of them all.

Wouldn't be too sure about that. Both sides appear to be moving heavy equipment.

How drones figure into this mess could be interesting. Both sides have no doubt put a lot of thought into drones and anti-drone kit.

Pakistan says Indian incursion is imminent.

Yeah, saw that...

However, the big assets are back at base, so it seems big angry and noisy saber rattling in on the menu.

Unless India's plan is to go after the terrorists through an actual military invasion? Which would be very dumb.

What I mean is we are talking about "Government imminent". Which can be either 5 hours, 5 days, weeks, etc... or might very well not happen anyway.

In April 2025, a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir killed 26 tourists, leading to a sharp escalation between India and Pakistan. India accused Pakistan-based militants of the attack, while Pakistan denied involvement. Military clashes erupted along the Line of Control, diplomatic ties were downgraded, and both countries heightened military readiness. International actors like China, Turkey, and the U.S. called for restraint as tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors continued to rise.

Pakistan says at least three sites were targetted with missiles from Indian airspace. Not saying they intercepted any (or even tried), so this might be a show of force communicated in advance to the Pakistanis to ease tensions.

Or they're both going to go apesh*t crazy in the next few hours/days 🤷‍♂️

I'm leaning to the latter. Have you seen their driving....

These aerial bombardments are just a small sh1tshow.

The key issue is here:

By suspending it, India will be able to fvck up Pakistan economically.

India should be **very** careful about doing that. A lot of their rivers originate up in the Himalaya's in areas under control of China and are likewise subject to water treaties.

Isn’t this the plot of water world?
