Hope I can add some good new pics here. My Dad was Royal Engineers. His fave expression about the war was "When we left I had to blow them all up, and when we went back I had to build them again". ENJOY THE PICS.
The wanderer returns. I am going to take you back to November and December 1945 with the building of Neinberg bridge acrosss the Weser. This is a Bailey bridge. Dad's bridge was Club Bridge. I have his personal photos many of which are in pristine condition , still slightly curved from the printers . I have his engineering notes too.
I will scan all and post them and then they can go off to Imperial War Museum if they want them. They need to be in archives.
