Sikorski noted that although Donald Trump is expected to become the Council's lifetime president, it is unclear what his status will be after his term as President of the United States ends. "It's unclear what will happen to the money then. And we'd like to know in advance (...). A billion dollars is 3.6 billion złoty today. And that's in a situation where we have challenges at home and a fighting Ukraine. So I want to hear why the Polish taxpayer should rebuild Gaza, which we didn't destroy, and even indirectly. Because if we want to allocate money for the reconstruction of Gaza, there's a development budget, there's a humanitarian budget. This can be done directly," Sikorski said.
