Very good news my friends, from today standart issue GPMG of Georgian army is M240L
as Georgia decided to fully adopt NATO standart weapons, probably DSHKM and NSV machine guns will be repleaced by M2 Browning
First M240s were adopted by 43th battalion of VI mechanized division

Just up front. I see a very wild mix of four seperate branches represented in this thread. Police ( Special Tasks Department ), State Security, gov protection agency aka SSPS and military. To people who are not familiar: usualy when you see the G-36, it's almost without exception either SSPS ( the guys in urban camo ) or State Security ( handguard replaced by aimpoint ) and same applies to pretty much any exotic or fancy looking gun such as the Tavor. The military uses primarily the AK series AR and to some increasing extent AR-15 type carbines though as of right now it is still limited to Peacekeeping Forces and special forces. Just some side notes.

It is very possible above mentioned changes dramaticaly in the upcoming years since as already mentioned in the previous post Georgia is more consequently buying US arms and general procurement financial capacity has been dramaticaly increased recently.

Here's a couple ones I caught with army SF carrying G-36s for once during the recent "Flaming Sword 2017" exercise in Lithuania. Not sure if own or provided by Lithuanians. If I'm not mistaken that is Polish SF on the right. Srry for the low qual on these, there are no better samples unfortunatly.

I know this one. Gets the thumbs up because he hit the target center mass at 800 meters. Apparently that is not an easy task for someone new to the Scout Stealth Recon but I heard it's a decent marksman ( less actual sniper ) rifle. This weapon is very expensive yet I see it in the inventory of several Georgian law enforcement and military units which is interesting.

Not really sure, according to some sources it was gifted from US government
thought its known that 25-30 MRAPs were delivered, i saw at least 9 being transported in early 2017.
