Pictures of GSOF from joint SF exercise "Kobra 17" in Poland. The exercise culminated in a special operations manouver that was lead by a 12 man team of the Georgian SOF. Events like these aim to qualify and certify GSOF operators for NATO lead missions. GSOF is tasked by US SOCOM to train and assist conventional military forces of the Alliance for international missions and if required take the lead. Members of the Georgian SOF been training and qualifying the last two years with Poland's JW GROM and AGAT which are described by GSOF as great partners and friends.

I actualy find it quite refreshing seeing how almost everyone is wearing multicam and marpat still looks good.

What I wonder is why they don't repalce their old PASGT helmets with Delta's new bullet proof tactical helmets. Same with the vests. Guess it's out of pure habit.

Maybe MARPAT is just better in natural environment in Poland?
    Really great photos @Gordus!

"During the exercises Kobra-17 Georgian soldiers passed the test. This does not mean, however, that we end our joint training. We will continue to practice in Poland and in Georgia, supporting the development of Georgian Special Forces, so that we can jointly prepare a Task Force to take part in the NATO mission" said Brigadier General Wojciech Marchwica.

I would like nothing more but to hear that our two country's SF continue joint training exercises and it becoming a tradition.
I would also like to use this opportunity and say that I am very proud of the fact that Poland kept & is still keeping it's word in every way on truly exemplary level ( which is a VERY rare feat nowadays ) particularily in regards to the military agreements signed in 2014 foremost and especialy concerning assisstance, cooperation and NATO integration of our special forces. It was mostly due to their ( Polish SOF ) involvment and schooling in NATO doctrines, inter-operability and tactics that our special forces gained certifications on top of Alliance wide reputation and are essentialy becoming part of NATO SOF, while Georgia is not even an Alliance member yet (!). This is something we haven't achieved until just recently and it is mainly due to Poland's efforts, really investing all it's heart and energy into this rather than making half hearted promises and not taking it very seriously like others do - unfortunatly.
I've been extremely glad since the first time this was announced back in 2014 and then solidified in 2016. There ofc has not been one dissapointment. Just Bravo. Like truly real brothers.
