It's demoralising, frankly. The Walter Mittys only go for glamour, never for combat service support. Mechanics, logisticians, medics, clerks need some love, too! Heck, if I were ever to impersonate a soldier, I'd claim being a military policeman. You wouldn't get questioned because no one is going to want to be around you anyway.
Thats why I claim to have pumped gas, and cleaned canopies, cant keep the chicks off with a stick.....

Imagine if I told them the truth, SR71 Pilot(Test), designed the flying Aircraft carrier, and married to Rachel Weiss.

Some say, James Bond clapped upon landing in one of my flights.

Bro lets put it this way, our Dear leader Kim Jung Un, at most, just claimed he flew a civil aircraft.

Fluff, if they only knew, brother! We'd have a hard time keeping you supplied with condoms and Paco Rabanne.

Surely not Craig. That dude would never clap. Clapping is for gentlemen.

Agreed, but I haven’t heard anyone clapping in planes since the late 90s… Jim sure knows better flying the SE Asian regions, here in Europe the passengers don’t seem to do it anymore. Thanks captain for landing us safely.

Personally I just greet the crew goodbye and thank them all, just no applauses.

Bummer.... A couple of weeks ago I got a weird "hmmmm... Haven't thought of this before, but why/how" thought about how lucky we were to have someone so "on the inside" during the air actions in the Middle East and why/how he was ab;e to say so much about some rather "need to know" activity. I think the weird feelings started about the time that it looked like he might be both an IDF and a RDAF pilot....

Oh, Christ on a bike. I just went over Flynavy's X for giggles. On November 7 he posted this:

No Danish Air Force aircraft over Central Asia that entire week, the aircraft shown in the video are not Danish but American, and how would you engage ground forces with an air-to-air-missile?

Frankly, it's kinda sad. Spinning such tales of grandeur for an occasional like. Like others said, he seemed like a nice guy.

That's one of the vids that I finally got a hit on....he mashed two different vids together in this one. The first couple of seconds are taken from the middle of a USAF video back in 2021 then mashed with one from an actual French fighter pilots personal video

Finding that French pilots Insta and X profile led me into id'ing more videos. Most of the videos of "himself" in cockpits came from that French pilot's social media

They only clap now, when you land in bad weather.

My worst pax was my sister. After giving her the smoothest landing, she went to the front during deplaning to thank the Captain for a very smooth flight. When the Captain told her I was the one flying, her passing reply was "oh, guess he can fly then." and left. This same woman that gets 90% off of tickets as part of my benefits.

@muck, at this point just going thru his X account is self flagellation

When he posted his X account, I started finding things that were hard to believe. It turned me off.

Oh well. Too bad.

With that he painted himself into a corner. He never actually said anything about being in the IAF, so the least unlikely story after talking about the middle east was a RDAF deployment there, but even this was easy to factcheck. In a small country with the air force flying comparatively little training hours outside of the simulator a secret deployment of a substantial number of jets wouldn't stay secret for long, besides most countries being obligated by law to report and justify these actions to their parliament so it being leaked before the first jet was wheels up.

I live in between several airbases and even with the increases due to the war in Ukraine the huge uptick in activity in the air around deployments and scheduled multinational exercises is instantly noticeable. This isn't the US where jets take off all the time because the balance sheet for aviation fuel and consumables simply reads "YOLO".

Such obvious flaws makes me think he's not that old or simply doesn't want to allow logic to get in the way of a good story. He didn't shuffle towards the corner, he dove straight for it. Attaching yourself to something that is known to be happening or have happened is one thing, an entire deployment being unknown to the public in this day and age is next to impossible outside of special operations. If you're gonna lie, lie within reason.

Well well well...
His time would've come today anyway
