A former SAS man has been appointed as private secretary to Prince William and Prince Harry, Clarence House has said.
Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, 44, who was an officer for 20 years, will work part-time from May.
He works as a security specialist in London, and had been an equerry to the Queen Mother from 1984-86.
His new job will involve contact with Sir Michael Peat, private secretary to Prince Charles, and Helen Astrey, personal secretary to the princes.
William, 23, is due to complete his degree at St Andrews University in June, while 20-year-old Harry is headed for the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in May.
