Like presumed the all talk no walk bureaucrats just paid lip service and did nothing like that its easy for autocrats to win.

These useless persons must be removed and replaced by ones delivering.

While the Chinese authorities openly pursued a policy aimed at reducing their country's dependence on the rest of the world while increasing the dependence of others on China, Europe was busy formulating new strategies, conducting risk analyses, setting up task forces, and launching expert panels to examine how Europe should respond.

These well-intentioned initiatives have become harmful distractions. Despite the best efforts of EU leaders in Brussels, Europe has wasted valuable time. The bloc must respond much more quickly and boldly to the economic risks coming from China.

The EU should activate a trade instrument that has never been used before to counter Chinese export restrictions on critical raw materials if a new plan presented on Wednesday fails, said EU Industry Commissioner Stéphane Séjourné.

“If that doesn't work and we find in a year or two that value chains are collapsing because of a lack of Chinese supplies — because we haven't diversified quickly enough and remain too dependent — then we will probably have to use the instrument against coercive measures,” Séjourné said in an exclusive interview with Euractiv.

"Why do we need farms, we have supermarkets!" - actual quote from some barely legal future single mom on the street when asked about reducing co2 emissions

This is a full, unedited transcript of POLITICO’s interview with President Donald Trump conducted at the White House on Dec. 8.

Comrades! Do you know the joke about Comrade Brezhnev opening the Olympics?
Comrade Brezhnev takes the paper in his hand—not that one, but the speech—and reads: "0, 0." Huge applause. Comrade Brezhnev continues reading: "0, 0, 0." Even louder applause. "What do you want?" he asks his secretary.
"Just that, Comrade Brezhnev, you don't have to read out the rings!"

Nah, Trump detto....

After EU fines X downloads hit a record.

An interesting choice of countries to help alt-righters to destroy the EU:

Poland won't go for it, but I don't know what will happen after the new elections in 2027.

How long will the Italian and Hungarian economies survive anyway once they're no longer held afloat by the EU

Any southern or eastern European country which loses access to northern European backed cheap loans as well as the common market is toast.

I cannot wait to read how British courts and the Labour Party will try to explain their opposition to the Tories' Rwanda scheme now, after years of telling British voters that the ECHR rendered such plans illegal.

By the way, the Ministers' Council also decided to declare Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, India, Kosovo, Bangladesh and Columbia to be safe by default, meaning that all EU members have to include them in their list of countries whose citizens cannot claim asylum in the Union.

It only goes to show the authors of the NSS have no real insight when it comes to the political reality in Europe.

The parties most readily described as anti-EU in Poland, Italy and Hungary had plenty of opportunity to invoke Article 50, but didn't. A rational thinker might've felt prompted to halt a second and wonder why. Heck, many EU nations wouldn't shed a tear over Hungary leaving. And yet … nothing is happening. Even the Austrian FPÖ, which campaigns on crass anti-EU rhetoric, issued a statement yesterday stressing they do not seek to leave the bloc, but reform it.

Russian is simply national socialism, to be negative on it would be like spitting on your own manifesto.

Germany is going to benefit from this deal but not countries like France, Poland, or the Netherlands:

The EU used to be dependent on RuZZian energy resources. Now, iwe are going to outsource food production to the third-party and It's far more dangerous.

Cheap food, keep them in their houses vs a few tractors.
Clearly cynical and stupid leaders in regard to food chain.
Was this even an election policy?
Farmers should go on a strike if they could , they can't though thats their problem unlike other industries.
If costs exceed income for a relatively short period with an indebted industry there is every reason reason a 1929 USA depression famine will occur and food shortages among a restless and less independant society would be Putins dream come true..
Tax them and now destroy their market... no care whatsoever
