On 12 March, in Ämari, the ceremony was handed over to the Estonian Air Force (Eesti Õhuvägi) of the first of two short-start and landing C-145A Skytruck transport aircraft (M28-05). Airplanes, manufactured in Polish PZL Mielec plants in 2009, come from the surplus of the US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and are provided free of charge as part of the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program on August 10, 2018. The second plane will reach the recipient in 2019.
