The widow of a soldier who died at Deepcut Barracks in Surrey has won a five year battle for compensation.
Warrant Officer Adrian Smith, 41, of the Royal Logistics Corps, died from a heart attack in 1999 after falling ill following an 8km combat fitness test.

His widow Margaret, from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, launched a legal battle against the Ministry of Defence, which admitted liability last month.

On Friday, it emerged she had received an undisclosed sum as compensation.
