M1A2 Abrams tanks maneuver in the streets as they conduct a combat patrol in the city of Tall Afar, Iraq, on Feb. 3, 2005.
These are 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment (The Brave Rifles) tanks. The 3d ACR units often had company-level insignia painted on their turrets. Case in point, Dragon Company (the 1st Squadron tank company) had the Mortal Combat dragon symbol painted on.

When the Regiment went and cleared Tal Afar, they painted those markings out to make it harder for the insurgents to track units moving in and out of different parts of town.

Edit: Note even the tank names have been marked out on the gun barrel to prevent tracking of individual tanks.

This is an odd picture because those Junior Squadron jets have no jugs (drop tanks - never flew Op sorties without big or small jugs) and they are unarmed. I'd suggest this was some kind of photo op.

The Turkish army tested a long-range missile for the Hisar-O air defense system. The Turkish Hisar-O medium-range air defense system is expected to become the basis of Turkey's Steel Dome air defense system. The missile reportedly successfully hit a target at a distance of more than 40 kilometers. The Hisar-O air defense system was first unveiled by the Turkish company Aselsan in 2015. The Hisar-O air defense system is capable of detecting and tracking a fighter-type target at a distance of up to 60 km. On August 15, the Turkiye newspaper reported that Turkey intends to use Russian S-400 air defense systems until its own air defense system is created.
