Posting this to pay respect to the Georgian CTU operators who were killed in action. It's a little family, strongly welded togheter. Losing one is like losing a limb, which is why it is always particularily sad. Not just a loss to the unit but the country. Those are some of the finest men.
There have been several more casaulties over the years, unfortunatly the gov keeps them undisclosed.
Archil Chokheli was a two times Sambo world & european champion, also Judokai and was preparing the Georgian national team for competitions in 2012, when he was killed during the Lopota incident, which remains controversial to this date.
His comrade, Solomon Tsiklauri was also killed in that incident. There is sadly no further information about his person.
Vano Goloshvili was killed as a result of the Isani Flat siege in 2017 when the terrorists suddenly opened fire during negotiations. He died in hospital.
