I am shocked, at first glance it looks as if the fighter plane wanted to "catch" the bomber... Looks like it was on purpose...

The pilot of the P-63 probably never saw the B-17 as he was in such a hard bank and could not see what was below the wings. There are other angle videos that show that this is the most likely scenario.
