The Albanian Armed Forces (Albanian: Forcat e Armatosura të Republikës së Shqipërisë (FARSH)) are the military of Albania and were formed after the declaration of independence in 1912. Today, it consists of: the General Staff, the Albanian Land Force, Albanian Air Force and the Albanian Naval Force.

Shenyan F-6 & F-6C in service until 2005. They were the backbone of the Albanian AF until the end of its operations.

Two Shenyang F-5 taking-off during the Cold War. The J-5, named F-5 for export, was a MiG-17 "Fresco" built under license in China.
About twenty F-5 & two-seater FT-5 were delivred by China to Albania in the 1960s & served until 2005.
Albanian AF never used Soviet built MiG-17.
