18 Insurgents Killed by Coalition Forces
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Task Force Baghdad Soldiers killed 18 anti-Coalition insurgents and wounded three in 12 separate engagements beginning on the evening of May 14 and continuing through the early morning hours of May 15.
Coalition forces reported no injuries or damage to vehicles or equipment.
Most of the fighting occurred in eastern Baghdad where insurgents attempted to engage Coalition forces with rocket-propelled grenade and small arms fire. Coalition forces apprehended two of the wounded insurgents, while a third evaded capture.
The outbreak of attacks follows three days of relative calm in eastern Baghdad neighborhoods.
