Well, personally I do not vote for Erdogan . However current problems happened between GR and TR have a long history and goes back beyond his AKP administration. And I believe both of the sides have their own mistakes to establish this type of "tense" bilateral relations among them

About the F-35 JSF; Turkey is also one of the "industrial partners" since from the beginning of the project and some critical motor and body parts are produced bu TUSAS aerospace industry of Turkey (same company have also produced more than 300 F-16s under lincance for Turkey and Egypt btw 1987-2011) and during that time Turkey is invested more than 300 M USD to maintain a serial production line for the JSF parts. So a poissible crisis related with the delivery of the F-35 would also directly effect the production process of the planes. Apart from that would also push Turkey furthermore close to Russia in case of the balance policy that Turkey is trying to orientate among the major powers in the region (not mentioning the close down the Incirlik military air base for US troops as retalliation)

from what I see, the G3 continues in service in some units, the process of change by the MPT-76 how long it plans to last?

Well if you are speaking from the last images they are using 5.56 mm HK-33E variants that produced by the MKEK for various specialized units of the Turkish Armed Forces as well as the law enforcement units in early-mid 2000's.

MKEK produced HK-33 (top) and G3 (bottom) with 40 mm T40 underbarrel grenade launcher.

For the MPT-76, currently there are three main companies including Sarsılmaz, Kalekalıp and MKEK are producing MPT-76 for the Turkish Military since from the 2016 onwards. The latest production rate of the rifles is around 70,000 units in a year. According to the 2017 statement of the officials the exact number of the active military personnel of the Turkish Armed Forces is 359,273 so you can make the calculation. Altough some of them are already sold & donated to Somalia and TRNC (around 15,000 rifles)

Sorry for the additional post but for the G3s, they are already removed from the operational units service from the mid 2000s onwards with the new rifles such as the MKEK HK-33E for the operational unts like the mechanized infantry, international troops, commandos, paratroopers, marines, border units and the gendarmerie and now with the MPT-76. But it is still issued by less-operational or support units such as the regular infantry, conscripts, military engineers, gunners, reserve units and air force & naval troops. And also speaking for the special forces they were mostly preferred M16 carbine and M4 models over the G3 like their other NATO counterparts and now they are mostly rock'n the HK416A5, Kale KCR-556 and MPT-55 models

And another additional knowledge from the 1969 untill the early 1990s almost 900,000 G3 rifles were produced by MKEK for the Turkish military. Its funny to see how overall population of the military has shrinked on contarary of the population increase after from the cold war...

The G3 was used in Colombia, i don´t have the opportunity to shoot them, i learn with the Galil made in Israel and later made in Colombia.
it´s very interesting the coupling grenade launcher!
