The FFL recruiting center at the Fort de Nogent near Paris , just receive their flag. This unit was to small (200) to have a flag, until now, they just had a pennant. This is the flag of the 11 REI , a FFL regiment taht was created in 1939 and disbanded in 1940 after being slaughtered while defending the retreat of the French army. The flag was partially burned by the last survivors of the unit to avoid it to fall in the hands of the Germans. The remnant of the burned flag were stored at Aubagne , home of the FFL. The new flag was made using some of the old flag fragments.
