As you can see from these photos, I seem to model whatever strikes my fancy, rather than stick with one type of modeling. It's been fun over the years to learn new skills and techniques.

After being away from modeling for quite a few years, I built this plastic 1/48 scale Tiger I.

This is a plastic & resin 1/72 scale Israeli M-51 as seen in the Six Day War. It's ready for paint.

Annnnd I've built some ships. This is the 1/350 scale USS Nields as seen in 1945.

A couple winter's ago I wound up getting involved in wooden boat building. This is a 1/48 English Longboat. Built from a kit. The wood is basswood. All parts are formed from raw materials.

Lastly, my current project is a 1/48 scale British navy cutter. This is scratch built using plans I purchased. It's built with Castello Boxwood from Paraguay. Each plank took about 2 to 3 hours to form! I have about 400 hours in this so far, with an estimated 800 to go!! It looks a little rough because it's still a work in progress.

Awesome work mate, I have said it before but will say it again I wish I had thepatience to put something like that together.

400 hours work with 800 to go, that's dedication

What did you use to make the sea base for the Fletcher class Destroyer?
