The representative of the "GP Zawod Malyshev" plant from Kharkiv informed about the sale to the United States of one basic "Oplot" tank. Officially, this is to be the beginning of wider cooperation. Oplot is a modification of the Soviet T-80, which was adopted in 1976.
"Malyshev" plants completes the production of 49 "Optot-T" tanks ordered by Thailand in 2011. They were to be delivered by 2014, but delivery dates were postponed many times. In 2017 Ukrainians delivered four parties - a total of 23 vehicles. The last part, delivered in December 2017, had 6 tanks.
The tank delivered to the USA will probably have the number 50. It will be another of the tanks built in Ukraine on the basis of Soviet constructions supplied to the USA. Among others in 2003 Ukrainians provided Americans with 4 modified T-80UD tanks with dynamic protection modules "Nozh" and active protection complex "Drozd".
The Opłot tank was officially adopted to armament the army of Ukraine. Her needs were estimated at 200 tanks.

Guys, do you want me to simply upload the pics or use an album format? To those who don't know me, I've been posting pics on my Facebook page since 2014. There are close to 8,000 photos there.
