I have a question. Whose F-16s are these? because I know the PAF has zero F-16s. Thank you.

Those are FA-50 Lead-In Fighter Trainers that we ordered from South Korea. The FA-50 is considered a ''mini F-16''

Wow.. they sure look like F-16s from the top. And I know that the PAF has four FA-50s. I think 12 were ordered. And I know 8 are in service.

The PAF needs a light attack aircraft like these;

A-29 Super Tucanos

Or a attack helicopter like this.

The new Z-19E is an export version of Chinese attack helicopter Z-19 and developed by Harbin Aircraft Industrial Corporation.

The helicopter can provide offensive air support and destroy the armored vehicles of any potential enemy with its “air-to-surface” armament including anti-tank missiles, a 23mm cannon and other weapons. It also has gun pods and can carry air-to-air missiles, and its tandem-seated cockpit is armored.

Yes, 12 were ordered and the last 4 units will be delivered by June or July this year (2017). PAF is planning to expand the FA-50 fleet to 24, and take note these jets will not be our De facto multi-role fighters. Currently we are still selecting the best possible MRF for PAF. Strong contenders are the F-16, F-18, Gripen, and MIG-29. Probably by 2018 or 2019 PAF will announce the sole winning candidate for the MRF project. Unfortunately, the CASA (Close Air Support Aircraft) project keeps on postponing like 10 times already since last year due to budget constraints. The Super Tucano full fills all the PAF CASA requirements but still awaiting budget approval. We are planning to buy attack helicopters for anti-tank and recon roles in HORIZON 3.

Five F-5 fighter jets of the PAF were used in the 1979 hit movie, Apocalypse Now
