Excellent photos and thank you very much taking the time to post them all.
When I look at the photos like these I always wonder what happened to all these people and what their lives were like after this experience.
(I know many died)

There were many men from the reserve in Chernobyl (30-45 years old). 35 years have passed since the accident. Unfortunately, many have died because of their age. To this we can add the "terrible 1990s", the disregard for veterans on the part of the new government (Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian - it does not matter) and the presence in the society of the 1990s of many vile rumors. Like the fact that Chernobyl veterans cannot have children.

It seems to me that radiation does not play a major role in all this.
