What is the dragon signifies? Is that a custom for ships?
It's not a custom, I believe special permission was given by the MOD for the dragon to be installed. The dragons were there when she was launched, but were removed in a 2011 refit. They were restored in 2016. They are a direct link to the red dragon of Wales
