Both Rhodesia and SA had mixed units and mixed SF that apparently were quite successful. why then did those countries organize their societies around the apartheid concept? or am I wrong about that....
has this been studied or discussed anywhere else that I could read about?

During the many brush wars of the 70s and 80s, both Rhodesian and South African forces used the FN FAL in 7.62 with a smattering of other small arms captured or bought. The FN remained the rifle of choice though
